Terms of use

The licence, the subscription, and what happens when it ends.

The agreement

These terms are between you and Sherbet Software, operated by Gal Salomon, for the Sherbet tools you use and this website. Licences are sold by Lemon Squeezy as the merchant of record, so its buyer terms apply to the purchase as well. By installing Sherbet you accept these terms.

The licence

You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use a Sherbet tool on one Mac per licence key. Each tool is licensed on its own. You may not resell, share or redistribute the app or a key, or take it apart except where the law says you may. Sherbet, its mark and its design stay ours.

Free and Pro

Every Sherbet tool is free to download and use. Pro for a tool adds its paid features, and what the free version includes is listed in the pricing section of the home page; it may change with updates, and a change never deletes your history.

Each tool starts with a 7-day Pro trial of the complete app, with no card and no account. The 7-day Pro trial of a tool starts when you first turn that tool on.

The Pro subscription

• Pro for each tool costs $2.99 a month or $24 a year, as you choose at checkout. Sales tax or VAT is added by Lemon Squeezy where it applies.
• A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time in the customer portal. Pro then lasts until the end of the period you paid for, and Sherbet carries on as the free version.
• If we change a price, the change applies from your next renewal and never to a period you have already paid for.

When Pro ends

Sherbet keeps running as the free version and keeps capturing what you copy. Nothing is deleted: the rest of your history waits, intact, and reappears the moment you upgrade again.

One Mac per key

A key works on one Mac at a time. To move it, choose Deactivate this Mac in Settings, then Tools & Licence, and enter the key on the other Mac. If the old Mac is gone, sign in to My Orders at Lemon Squeezy with the email you bought with and deactivate it there, or write to support@sherbetapps.com and we will release it.

Refunds

Your first payment for a tool can be refunded within 14 days. See the refund policy.

What the app does for you

Sherbet fills form fields when you ask it to and can press Cmd+V for you. It suggests values; you decide what is entered and submitted, so check a form before you send it. Sherbet is not a password manager, and a password copied from a plain file is a copy like any other. Accessibility access is your choice and can be withdrawn in System Settings.

Updates and availability

We release updates from time to time and may change, add or remove features. Sherbet checks for updates, and downloads and installs them, as described in the privacy policy; each is a switch in Settings. If it cannot reach the licence service it keeps working for up to 14 days since its last successful check.

Warranty and liability

Sherbet is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it is error-free or fits a particular purpose, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the tool in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits a liability the law does not allow us to limit, or the rights a consumer has under the mandatory law of the place they live.

Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by cancelling and removing the app. We may end a licence for a serious breach of these terms, for example sharing a key; if we end one for any other reason, we refund the unused part of the current period.
